WebI've used the Orajet 1917 and also did not care for the texture but after laminating (I used Oraguard 215) I felt the texture was much less noticable. Yes, Oracal 651 vinyl is the recommended vinyl for application to tumblers, coffee mugs, plates, cell phone cases, etc. No vinyl is considered “dishwasher safe” due to the high heat of the dishwasher cycle which can loosen the adhesive.
